About Ore Community Library

Ore Community Library is run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the community. We receive no public funding. We rely entirely on fundraising and donations to fund our activities. If you wish to donate to help us keep the library open please contact us or call into the library.
We are open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 10am and 4pm. Ore Community Library Group is a UK registered charity 1188607. |
Joining Ore Library and borrowing books is absolutely free. Membership is open to all adults and juniors. See our Join page. We have a stock of over 6,000 book titles to choose from in Adult and Junior Fiction, and Adult and Junior Non-Fiction. We keep the library up to date with new titles as they are published. If there is a book which you would like us to have for you and others to borrow, please let us know.

How to find us:

Hiring the library:
The library is available outside of our normal opening hours for hiring, daytime or evenings. It is an ideal facility for small meetings. The bookshelves will be moved aside for the meetings according to the needs of the hirer. Our suggested meeting layouts show that it can comfortably seat 12 to 15 people in "theatre style" layout or 8 to 10 people in "conference table" layout". The following photographs illustrate the different possible layouts (Click or tap on the photos to enlarge them). If you would like to hire the library for meetings, please download and read our lettings policy. Our charges are at Appendix B. Then please complete the booking form (Appendix A) and return it to us by email or by other arrangement. Please give us as much advance notice as possible.

Book donations:
We are not proactively seeking book donations for the library at present, due to lack of space on our bookshelves. However, we do get offers of donations from time to time and we are prepared to consider donations of good quality books on a case by case basis. Please email us if you wish to discuss this.
